No complaint. I locked myself out of my vehicle with my purse inside. Googled Texas Farm Bureau and called the number that came up. Although the rep I talked to was not from my area, he personally found a tow truck in my area and contacted them for me. Exceptional customer service!

Bad Customer Service - Rude in office Secretary and Regional Manager Texas

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Been with them for years with great payment history. We have never submitted a claim.

My wife lost her job, we had trouble a few times with the automatic withdrawal date. We always got the payment in by the date due. Rachel Roesler Agent Assistant from the Grapevine TX office starts sending emails with verbiage in red and caps. She gives us a date or policy will be cancelled and not renewed, we always make the date and pay any extra fees.

This month we were told we had to pay February and March to keep our policy. Called the local office to speak to a manager and get clarity. Rachel answered the phone and told me the manager was not available. Rachael answered the phone for each number I found.

She gave me a number for the corporate office.

Called the corporate office to find out why the inconsistency and why we have to "prepay." Also, to complain about the rudeness or Rachael. The intake female understood a person can communicate without being rude and abrasive. Told me she would pass this on to the regional manager Ken Wolthrop. He was worst than Rachel.

I am sure that is why she knew she could get away with her behaviour. Ken could not explain "why" we had to prepay just that we did. No apology for Rachel's treatment of us.

Long story short avoid this company.

When you are late they feel it is an oppourtunity to treat you like trash and cosign by leadership. Based on the comments I have read if you have you are not treated any better when you need their services for a claim.

STAY AWAY!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Long story short, I got into a car accident, the other company tried to offer me about $5000 less than my car's value, my insurance agent Danny Williams said he cannot help me, so I have to deal with the other insurance company, he gave me the number of the Adjuster Mr. JR.

Vasquez which told me" Just to let you know before you're moving on with filling a claim with us, we might offer you a lower settlement than the other company offered you" , so, let me get this straight, my own company low balling me more than the other insurance company? I had to speak with MR. Brad Anderson, their supervisor to actually get a rental after almost 3 weeks of me dealing with the other insurance, as my insurance agent and the adjuster told me that they cannot help me with that, although they can take my money, Danny Williams sent me a text before I've signed up with him that "we care about our customers, we're one phone call away, or one text away, , although after my car accident he didn't answer for about 5 days until I had ro recall and text him several times!!!

Proof on request! and I'll upload everything!

Declined renewal of a policy for no reason.

I accidentally missed paying on a premium for a policy I been paying on for years. I had one claim on it, though they didn't pay out a dime for roof damage. The damage was repaired at my expense, but they won't renew because of the condition of the roof. The problem is the agent sent them pictures of the roof at renewal time before and showed that the roof is repaired and in good condition.

Pros:

Cons:
  • Customer treatment after all these years

Preferred solution: Renew my policy before I take all my business somewhere else. If I have to find someone else for one, I might as well move it all.

User's recommendation: Guess I'd fine a company that's there for you even if you do file a claim.

The local claims contact in Tyler is Cody Wortham. Their client hit my car and Texas Farm bureau adjuster contacted in short time. Said they were sending a check made out to Toyota Lease trust and I should send the check to that CO. for them to endorse and when they return the check to me, I should present it to the body shop that is repairing my car. Problem here is Toyota lease trust is returning the check un endorsed because the check needs to made to Me and Toyota lease trust. This is very inconvenient!!

Extremely upset and disappointed

A little over a month ago I had a pipe bust in between the upstairs restroom and a downstairs bedroom ( nothing that any of us could have foreseen or stopped) and it caused a significant amount of damage to the restroom and inner part (referring to the crawl space) of the ceiling not to mention the massive amount of damage it caused to my sons room destroying everything not to mention mold and mildew forming a major health risk for my son who no longer can even stay in our home because of the damage caused...I have a restroom that can’t be used everything my son owned was destroyed or was deemed at risk due to mold and had to be desposed of and when the adjuster was spoken to they claim that only weather damage is covered well I had a monsoon in my house then that caused a waterfall to cascade from the ceiling of my sons bedroom at 2:30 in the morning damaging his wood floors that were original to my home you can’t buy floors like these not to mention everything he owned we are talking in the upwards of about $15,000 to $20,000 worth of electronics plus including his furniture and priceless items that were given to him by his late grandfather who recently passed away and all I get after paying on time never late for 12 yrs is a we only cover weather damage what is the point in having homeowners insurance if it doesn’t cover your home?

I can sympathize with you. In my home a pipe burst in the wall, and flooded the laundry area, playroom, a large closet, and half of the living area.

Being the laundry area, all clothes on the floor had to be taken to the laundry, toys were ruined, damage to items in the closet like a china cabinet, dresser, and glass curio cabinet. A lot of things damaged I never even claimed. We rented a camper over the option of staying in a hotel. Now they want to claim that we have committed fraud over leasing the camper.

We are out for the replacement for personal items, and some furniture which is now held up because they are questioning the lease of the camper, of which they paid. I am now forced to hire an attorney, because they want depose me in reference to the claim. The investigator on this claim has yet to get his story straight. At first he stated that he stumbled onto this claim, then he stated that he was contacted by the adjuster because of some concerns he had.

So exactly why was he questioning my claim? If I were you, an attorney would be my next step. It will be my next.

Deceptive trade practices

Our vehicle was hit in the front drivers wheel. The driver hit so hard it bent the frame. Farm bureau took a week to get to shop where we requested to meet and show the bent frame. That was our priority. They gave us their preferred list which is supposed to give a lifetime warranty. It's been 5 five full month's since the accident. It's been at four different shops . They continually tell me the frame has been aligned. I test drove it what a joke. Fenders weren't painted the axle wasn't secure the bolt was dangling from another piece on the frame. The catalytic convertor was tore up the vacuum hoses were torn from firewall and they said it was safe to drive. After I finally demanded a copy of all documents pertaining to the repairs of my vehicle I finally proved no had looked at much less fixed the frame on my Jeep. The wheel alignment report from the Jeep dealer stated it was unsafe to drive and tire wear could possibly cause further damage to the jeep. Texas farm bureau doesn't want to pay to have it repaired correctly even though o paid for full coverage. They don't want to talk to me or call me. They have lied to me four times stating the frame has been aligned. Ready for a lawyer now. I've been without a vehicle for five months. They'd rather send me down the road knowing full well it will cause an accident or bodily injury.

They want your money but will not cover you

Radiator busted and overheated after hitting huge pothole. Filed claim 30 mins after incident. Was given the name and number of the claims adjuster assigned. He was suppose to go out and see my car at the dealership the next day. This did not happen until 6 days layer. This delayed the quickness of the repairs which made me have a rental car for even longer. Mean while i am having to pay for a rental car this whole time. They will not reimburse me until later. Now they will not cover the damages with my car. Stating they can or cannot relate the damges with what i am saying is what happened. So now i am being told i am a liar. Asked him what else are the possibilites of what happened. They are only 2 options. 1 of which would be in a wreck, but as we know that did not happened as there are no outside damages. 2nd option is that i took a crobar and busted my radiator up myself. He then told me. Well we really dont cover something that cost less than the deductible. I told him the dealership told u the damages and labor was $882 so far and my deductible is $500. He replied i should not have taken it to the dealership because they cost more!

Moved across town and car insurance went up $45!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I recently called Farm Bureau Insurance to give them my new address. A week later I received a notice my insurance has now gone up $45. I called the office because I was sure it was a mistake - but no. No moving violations in last 10 years; no tickets or accidents, just a different zip code. The place I moved to has covered parking, speed limit of 10 mph and its a better zip than what I moved from. All I can figure is the change of address phone call cost me $45 a year, which is ridiculous! I know I can get cheaper insurance with the same benefits Farm Bureau is providing so you can bet that is what I will do. I've heard of insurance companies increasing costs when you make an inquiry - but a change of address? No!!!!
